Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 19, 2026

This policy is a working draft pending attorney review. It does not constitute legal advice.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you fill out a contact form, register for a program, or communicate with us. This may include your name, email address, phone number, organization name, and the content of your messages.

For the Capital Corridor Bike Club registration, we also collect information about minors, including the child's name, age, and emergency contact information. This information is collected from a parent or legal guardian who provides consent on the child's behalf.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiries, provide our services, send program-related communications, improve our website and services, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Information Sharing

We do not share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to provide our services, comply with the law, protect our rights, or with your consent. We may share aggregated, non-personally identifiable information publicly or with partners.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

The Capital Corridor Bike Club program collects personal information from minors under the age of 13 as part of the registration process. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we require verifiable parental or legal guardian consent before collecting any personal information from a child. This information is used solely for program administration, safety, and communication with the parent or guardian. We do not share children's personal information with third parties except as required by law or for the direct operation of the program. Parents or guardians may review, request deletion of, or withdraw consent for their child's information at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

5. AI Chat Tool & Third-Party AI Processing

Our website includes an AI-powered chat assistant ("Ask the MRSG AI"). When you use this feature, the content of your messages is transmitted to OpenAI, L.L.C., a third-party artificial intelligence service provider, for processing and response generation. By using the AI chat tool, you acknowledge that your inputs may be processed by OpenAI in accordance with OpenAI's Privacy Policy. Do not submit sensitive personal information, protected health information, or confidential data through the AI chat tool. Responses generated by the AI are for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal, medical, financial, or professional advice.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
